FALL ON-CAMPUS REQUIREMENTS

Morgan State University plans to resume operations at full capacity in the fall 2021 semester. For the Fall Semester, students and employees must adhere to the following health & safety guidelines:

  • GET VACCINATED. All students and employees on campus must get vaccinated or receive an exemption. Details on the vaccine requirement can be found online HERE.
  • All students, employees, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to properly wear a mask or appropriate face covering while indoors in accordance with Baltimore City public health guidelines.
  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms, do not come to campus. Isolate or quarantine consistent with CDC guidelines.
  • Participate in Daily COVID-19 Screening Questions. Effective July 12, a mobile-based app will be used to answer the COVID-19 screening questions. Additional information can be found HERE.
  • Participate in Diagnostic COVID-19 Testing and Contact Tracing. Effective August 1, un-vaccinated students and employees who are accessing campus, must participate in COVID-19 testing two times per week. MSU is closely monitoring the positivity rates. Information on the week's testing activities can be seen below.

In order to protect the health & safety of the MSU community, the following guidelines have been established for visitors on campus:

  • Vaccines are encouraged for all visitors.
  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms, do not come to campus. Isolate or quarantine consistent with CDC guidelines.
  • Participate in Daily COVID-19 Screening Questions.
  • While indoors, masks are required for visitors - regardless of vaccination status

FALL 2021 PHASED EMPLOYEE RETURN TO CAMPUS

In order to safely prepare for the fall semester, the University is using a phased approach for reopening the campus for employees.

  • Currently, the University is in Phase I. During Phase I, employees working on campus include: faculty and staff who are teaching in person, performing research, or are required for campus operations.
  • Phase II will begin on August 2, 2021 with the return of faculty and staff in preparation to welcome our students to a new academic year. The University will be in full campus operations, with campus hours of 8:30 AM - 5 PM.

Effective August 1, employees, who access campus, will be required to be fully vaccinated. Additional information on the vaccine requirement can be found HERE.
